What Loupe checks
Can AI crawlers get in?
We read your robots.txt and request your pages under each AI crawler's name. A firewall can turn a crawler away even when robots.txt welcomes it, and the owner does not see it in a browser.
Do your pages answer the question first?
We read your home page and your main service pages and note whether their first sentence says who you are and who you serve, so the answer is easy to find and quote.
Is your business one clear name?
We check that your home page carries a business card in its structured data, with your name, address, phone and website, so an assistant can tell your company apart from others with a similar name.
Is anything telling Google not to show you?
Pages marked to stay out of search, a missing sitemap, pictures without descriptions and broken structured data, read on your home page and on five pages from your sitemap, with what we saw as the evidence for each.
Do assistants recommend you when buyers ask?
We ask an AI assistant that searches the web (today that is Claude) the questions your buyers ask, each one three times in a fresh conversation, and record how many of the three name you, the full answer, and which sites it cites instead.
Everything we find arrives as a written report with the evidence beside each item. The fixes are made to your pages inside rules you approve, and the same questions are asked again every week, so you can see what changed.
Tested on our own sites first
nicasiadigital.com
On 30 September 2026 every crawler could open this site's pages, but our email address reached them as "[email protected]": a Cloudflare feature hides addresses from anything that does not run scripts. We kept the feature, wrapped every address in the markers Cloudflare skips, and now check for it after every release.
Lucky Bag AI
On luckybagai.com, the online photo tools site we run, robots.txt names and allows each AI crawler we tested, the site has an llms.txt, and the guide pages open with the answer and carry a date and their sources.
A US room-layout site we run
Its bedroom size pages open with the answer in one sentence. The ones we checked carry 44 to 64 figures each, in tables a reader or an assistant can quote.
In October 2026 a Semrush check found all three of our sites barely present in AI answers. Since 2 November 2026 we ask the same buyer questions about them every week.
Questions buyers ask AI about this
- How do I find out whether ChatGPT and Perplexity mention my business?
- Ask them the way a buyer would, in a new conversation, and keep asking until they recommend someone. Note whether you appear, and who appears in your place. Then check whether their crawlers can read your home page: our free checker does that in a few minutes.
- I run a small business with no marketing staff and a budget under $500. What are my options?
- With under $500, start with the free checks: make sure AI crawlers can reach your site, and that your home page says in its first sentence who you are and who you serve. A monitoring tool will tell you how often you are mentioned, and someone still has to change the pages. Loupe does the check and the changes, at a fixed price stated in your written review before any work starts.
- Should I use Otterly, the Semrush AI toolkit or hire an agency?
- Otterly and Semrush's AI tools track how often assistants mention your brand, on monthly subscriptions, and some also suggest what to change; check each vendor's current feature list. Changing your pages is still your job. An agency or a service like Loupe makes the changes for you. If someone on your team can edit the site, a tracker may be enough. If nobody can, look for a service that makes the changes too.
- What does an AI search visibility audit actually check?
- Whether AI crawlers can reach your pages, whether your pages answer the question in their first lines, whether your business has one clear name and profile across the web, whether search engines can index you, and whether assistants name you when a buyer asks.
- Is there a service that audits this and fixes it?
- We are not neutral here: Nicasia Loupe does both, and its checks were run on our own sites first. Ask for a private review and you get a written report on yours, with a fixed price for the fixes, before you decide anything.
- What is generative engine optimization?
- Generative engine optimization, or GEO, is the work of making a business easy for AI assistants to read and quote. It overlaps with answer engine optimization (AEO) and with ordinary SEO: the pages still have to be found, and then they have to answer the question plainly.
